Happy December, friends! Steven and I send you pre-holiday greetings and hope that you are warm and cozy.
Suite A is loving the cozy winter. When you peer through the window into the suite, all the beds are full of sleepy kitties. Steven is often the only cat to venture out to the solarium on colder days, but it is getting a little cold even for his liking. The heated beds and water bowls are now back in position for the season.
Steven has a new roommate named Viktor, who is getting a lot of attention. Viktor is a really sweet cat, and many visitors have been coming to spend time with him. Steven has been benefiting from this as well. The visitors love on Viktor, but Steven always presents himself for his fair share of the petting. He is so sweet and lovable that he wins over everyone he meets.
I’m afraid I have to share some very sad news about one of Steven’s longtime friends. After over a decade at Tabby’s Place, our dear Adam passed away this month. Adam and Steven shared so many happy years together, and as we grieve, it’s a comfort knowing that Adam was loved by so many, of two species. Thank you for being among his fans and friends, and for sending your love to Steven as he misses his buddy.
Steven has been noted on several occasions to not be tending to the cleaning of his hind quarters. We are concerned that he has grown too large and round to properly reach these areas. But, it is difficult to put him on a diet when he lives in a suite with others who need access to food regularly. Otherwise, Steven has been in good health and spirits…up until last week.
Last week, poor Steven came down with ringworm again. He is now back in isolation getting his stinky baths. He is such a trooper. He has very fragile skin, and unfortunately that makes him very susceptible to getting fungal infections. But, he is in the very best of hands and getting as much love and attention as possible, even in isolation.
Thank you for all that you do to make Steven’s life so lovely and comfortable, no matter what he faces. He is such a sweet, lovable boy, and he deserves nothing but the best. Thanks to you, that’s exactly what he receives every day.
Steven and I hope that you and your loved ones, human and furry, have a delightful holiday season, full of wonder and joy.
