Happy September, Friends!
Steven and I hope that this month finds you happy and well. There is much news in the Tabby’s Place world and in Steven’s.
Steven started off the last few weeks enjoying the lovely weather and warm sunshine of his solarium. However, Steven was noted to have lower energy on several occasions this month. His monthly stool check was good, indicating that his medications are doing the job to keep his GI system in order. Unfortunately, summer is not ending well for dear Steven who was found to have several lesions of ringworm on his face and ears. He is now the third cat from Suite A to develop ringworm in spite of our extra cleaning measures and precautions. All of his suitemates are now starting an oral antifungal medication to help prevent further spread. Steven is now a resident of the Ringworm Room so he can receive treatments for the dreaded fungus.
Sadly, because Steven has been sent to the Ringworm Spa, I haven’t been able to visit with him or chat with him, so there isn’t going to be too much to update you with in terms of our sweet, sweet buff boy. Steven is just as wonderful as ever and I’m sure, enduring his stinky baths and treatments with as much grace and kindness as he does with everything. I can’t wait until he clears the ringworm and is back in Suite A, so I can give him all the loving he will have missed in the last few weeks.

Quinn’s Corner is coming along nicely. The floors and windows are in and the new laundry room and dishwashing areas are ready for use. We are just waiting for a temporary certificate of occupancy to be able to get in there and start using the new laundry and dishes area. Once we can do that, the old laundry room will be the space that they cut through the wall to connect Quinn’s Corner to the rest of Tabby’s Place. Exciting things are happening and we can’t wait!
We are also now open to the public without appointment every day from 1 to 4 o’clock. If you haven’t visited Tabby’s Place in a while, we would love to see you. Steven will greet you with open paws, once he is out of his Ringworm situation. All of the cats and humans of Tabby’s Place would be happy to greet you if you are in the area.
Steven and I thank you, as always, for your incredible dedication to Tabby’s Place through your monthly sponsorship donations. It is because of generous people like you that we can continue our mission of love for our cats and continue to save lives every day. Enjoy the start of your fall season and be well.
