Happy End of Summer, Olive Fans!

It’s time for another update on our little spitfire.

A couple of weeks back, it was noticed that Olive was leaking a small amount of urine. The diagnosis? One of those pesky urinary tract infections (UTI). She was quickly started on an oral antibiotic…and just as quickly switched to an injectable medication when the oral antibiotic began to give her diarrhea. Fortunately for all parties concerned, that UTI is only a memory now.

Have you ever noticed that some people have an uncanny ability around felines? There are some individuals who just seem to be able to calm even the most ornery cats. If you’re one of Olive’s devotees, you know that she has more than her fair share of attitude toward people.  And other cats, as well—you can see her and Cotton playing chicken around the corner of the big box!

And yet there was one afternoon where our administrative assistant was able to pet Olive for a little while when she (Olive, that is) was lounging at the front door. We even have a video as proof! The beginning of a new series called “The Cat Whisperer”? Perhaps not, but you must admit it was an impressive feat..Here is the video for your enjoyment:

We love our feisty black-and-white girl. Yes, we’d be thrilled to see her adopted into a home of her own, but until that happens, we’ll give her the best care and as much love as we can. A big part of that is because of your generosity. Thank you!
