Update for Newman

Hello again to all of Newman’s lovely sponsors!

Can you believe how wet this fall has been? Crazy! This weather is a good excuse to take all the cat naps you wish.

Once again, for the month of September, there are only good things to report for our fuzzy boy. Newman is quite literally fuzzy since ending chemo. His fur has undergone a transformation of losing a lot of his outer coat as the softer undercoat grew back in everywhere, including his shaved patches from chemo treatments. He is very soft! Other than this fun new exterior, Newman’s upper respiratory infection from earlier this month is responding quite well to the antiviral medication and antibiotics.

It is so nice to see Newman continuing on a playful strike, sliding around on our tile floor chasing his toys and hunting ferociously out the window for squirrels (as seen in the picture). Newman has also gotten very good at walking on a harness in our backyard. Yesterday he enjoyed a short trip around the backyard, crunching in the fall leaves and following right alongside me.

I cannot begin to explain just how grateful I am for the people like you who help support Newman’s life and all the special medical care our special needs cats require. He is living his best life because of the combined efforts of everyone working together. With that, I hope you all have a great October and enjoy revving up for the holidays months ahead. Take care.
