Taking a page from Sir Edmund Hillary, Morgan has become the first cat to scale the new gate that “guards” my office.
You will recall that this gate is 41″ high, which we assumed would deter even the hardiest of cats.
But, after months of preparation, Morgan left base camp, stood in front of the gate and calmly jumped it in one motion.
After a quick celebration, Morgan “Roald Amundsen” headed off to explore the snow-capped polar regions.
Outfitted in his designer polar fleece, Morgan braved the snowpack outside of Tabby’s Place. Morgan made the journey without the need for sled dogs or extra rations.
You might think that would be enough for the intrepid boy.
But, you would be wrong.
Morgan knew that we needed professional guidance to deal with the snow storms, so he quickly assumed his role as “Field Marshal” to direct our strategic response to this crisis.
I’m proud to say that we survived the wintry onslaught thanks to the heroic actions of our boy.
Morgan is now ensconced in his library, drinking a snifter of brandy and contemplating his next trek.
