Update for Morgan

Another month with Morgan as an office mate has made it clear that he is one of the nicest cats I have ever met.
He is perennially friendly and cheerful, greeting everyone who enters my office with a bright chirp.
He is also an inveterate leg rubber and will continue to wind around your legs, happily talking to you as long as you stand still.

In the first update, I expressed astonishment that he was able to walk at all;, much less climb onto my chair.
Well, Morgan has continued to amaze me with his recovery.

In fact, I walked into my office the other morning to the sight you see in the photo below.
I’m not sure how he got up there, but he seemed very pleased with himself for doing it.

Morgan has also become more adventurous.
For several weeks, he wouldn’t leave my office and hid behind the door when there was any commotion in the Lobby.
He eventually began wandering past the threshold, but only for a few seconds at a time.
He would dash back in at the merest sound.

But as you can see, Morgan has overcome his shyness and looks for excuses to wander into the Lobby and find a soft place to sit.

From a medical point of view, he is doing great, though I have to keep reminding myself that his heart disease is very advanced.
All we can do is give him the best medical care we can and to love him.
Happily, Morgan is an easy boy to love. 🙂
