The photo below shows Morgan’s typical reaction to these kinds of changes in his environment.
Yes, Morgan is incredibly laid back, taking pretty much everything in stride.
And it’s not just the arrival of cats that leaves him unfazed.
We have just begun construction on our expanded medical facility, and the dust caused by concrete sawing set off one of our smoke detectors.
This causes alarm lights and sirens to begin flashing and blaring mercilessly.
I rushed out of my office, treating this as a real emergency.
I took a quick look around the Lobby and Morgan looked up at me as if he had just woken up from a blissful nap.
It’s hard to imagine, given the intensity of the lights and sound. But, that’s our Morgan.
Our newest lobby resident is Divya, which is the Hindu word for “divine”.
And, divine she is.
Divya was almost dead when found by chance lying in a backyard.
She had a collar and a phone number, which we called in hopes of finding her owner.
Turns out that Divya’s owner had died and the woman’s daughter had just opened the door and tossed her outside.
Divya was literally starving to death wshen she came to Tabby’s Place.
But she has recovered well and will soon be enjoying life in our “First Class cabin.”
Might she replace Mimi in Morgan’s heart?
Stay tuned for next week’s episode.
