Happy June, Team Moo Moo!
Happy summer to you!
I’m pleased to report that I’ve been feeling great this month. Even with lots of activity, drama, and changes in the lobby, I haven’t had asthma attacks. I think my medicine is working well. Thank you very much for helping me with that. I’m so grateful to be breathing easy.
Helping to keep my stress level down, I have a new favorite napping spot near Jonathan’s office. I’ve been enjoying the calm vibe coming from Gallium, Triscuit, and Marcia, who enjoy relaxing in their cat tree on the other side of the gate to Jon’s office. It’s definitely helping me maintain my Zen. It’s also a very short commute to my job as Medication Dispensing Assistant. The table is right there. This allows me to wake up and report for work without delay.
While I’m on the subject, I’m happy to let you know that my job is going very well. I’m especially good at sitting on the medications binder, as well as keeping the staff productive. If I feel that they aren’t working fast enough, I nudge or nibble at their elbow to get them moving. I’m hoping for a promotion to Medication Dispensing Manager.

It seems that our lobby is never destined to be a quiet place. We had Grecca grace us with her legendary volume. Then there was Jack with his unusually loud larynx. Sadly, we lost Jack this month. Now, Bob has joined us. He’s a nice fellow. He’s deaf. And he’s loud. I guess he can’t hear how loud he is. Understandable.
In my quest to become a more cultured cat and find beauty in the world around me, my research revealed something that shocked me from the tips of my ears down to my toe beans. I know you’re probably thinking that it’s static electricity, like when humans unintentionally zap us when they pet us in the wintertime. It’s not that. Wait for it….. I’m famous!
I don’t know how it happened. Apparently, while I’ve been searching the internet to find out more about the world, the world found out about me. Somehow, I’ve become an icon in the world of sports, finance, fashion, and music.

There was a time when I was a little envious of Community Room resident Rori. She’s a well-known “Sitfluencer” who writes reviews on the Tabby’s Place Facebook page. She rates the many things she sits on. She’s a paws-down expert in her field. She literally sits on everything that enters her domain. But now it seems that I’m the most famous cat here!
Did you know that there are Moomoo Mondays at Citi Field? Moomoo Financial is giving away Mets tickets for select Monday home games to customers who use their online trading platform. Like most cats, I’m a fan of any game that involves a ball. I don’t know much about baseball, but I like that I’m associated with this fun giveaway. Having my name on the big scoreboard is pretty cool, too.
But, and this is a BIG but, I have to take issue with the Moomoo Financial logo. It’s one thing to use my name as their company name. Actually, I’m honored. It’s quite another thing to portray my appearance in an unflattering way. Whoever designed the logo isn’t very good at drawing! They didn’t get my ears right, and the body type is ALL wrong. Yes, I’m a plus-size girl… but I’m not built like that! Hmph.

I took it upon myself to redesign their logo. My version is still stylized, but it’s a much better representation of my beauty. I plan on sending it to them for consideration.
Too bad I don’t have money for stock buying. It looks interesting. You would think that I would want to invest in Chewy or Freshpet, but it’s Caterpillar, Inc., an American construction, mining, and engineering equipment manufacturer, that I’d choose. Their stock ticker symbol is CAT. I’m a big cat. This resonates with me.
Summer heat has arrived, and the human ladies are dressing lighter. I overheard someone saying that it was so humid, she wished she was wearing a Moo Moo. What? I have since found out that there’s a type of dress (Mu’umu’u) named after me! It’s big and colorful, just like me! Who knew I was known in the world of fashion?

It appears that I’m not the only inspiration when it comes to moo moo dressmaking. While I was searching for the perfect dress to model for my update, I came across this stunner with impressionist cat art fabric. Every orange cat has beautiful fur, but few cats are THIS orange. Except for new resident Sunny! Was he the muse for this?
I’m starting to wonder if we’re being live-streamed or watched through the computer camera. How does the outside world know about me? Or Sunny? All I can say is that my quest to become a more worldly cat is working!
Now that I have a job at Tabby’s Place, I’m famous, AND I still want to become a more cultured cat… I don’t have time for a lot of the shenanigans going on around here. Things have been very lively since Berry is back from surgery. He teamed up with Tootsie, Peabody, and Hips for lots of high-energy zoomies and play attacks.

At least I think they’re play attacks. Hips might be a little under the weather, and it could be making him grouchy. He’s been up to a good amount of mischief lately, and he’s even been put in “time out” several times for going after some of the lobby cats. This is very odd behavior for him.
He knows not to mess with me, though. I’m actually a very peaceful girl unless a situation presents itself where I simply must take action. I steer clear of most of the lobby drama. When I feel that trouble is brewing with someone coming at me, I do “the look” and it works like a charm. Maybe next I’ll be discovered by a Hollywood agent.
Last but not least, I also discovered that someone created a children’s song named after me. How lovely! I enjoy when children visit here, so I think it’s pretty neat. Current status is that I’m working on a remix that would be great for an after the humans go home Tabby’s Place dance party. Maybe we can do cat aerobics too. I can blast the volume so that the whole sanctuary can participate! You can check out The Moo Moo Song here: song link
Thank you again, dear sponsor, for helping me stay healthy so that I can partake in all these activities! I hope I’m making you proud of me.
Love,
Moo Moo
