Hello my fabulous sponsors and happy “almost autumn” to you!

I am thrilled to put this dreadful summer heat in

the rearview mirror and await the cooler weather on the horizon. The combination of 95 degrees with 100% humidity does not mesh well

with my fluffy grey coat. Even though I stay nice and cool in the inside air conditioned room of my suite, I can

still feel my fur frizzing. Several of my roomies, (namely Adam, Pepita, Chewbacca, and Abe) continue to spend their

days basically cooking themselves as they doze in a kitty pile in our solarium. I will never understand them!

So I want to first give a gigantic welcome to my new sponsors. Welcome!!! My correspondent told me that Tabby’s

Place recently lost a beloved resident named Zencada , who was also lucky enough to be a sponsorable kitty. I never

had the opportunity to meet Zencada, but I’ve heard how much everyone in our extended family loved her. And the way

our sponsor program works is that when a kitty you’ve been sponsoring crosses the rainbow bridge, you have the opportunity

to sponsor a new kitty. And lucky me, I am honored to now have Zencada’s sponsors join my family! Thank you for

accepting me into your world. I hope that my cheerful goofiness will ease your sorrow as you grieve such an

inexplicably enormous loss.

Truly, I think lifting people’s spirits is my natural calling in life. All I want is to play and romp and snuggle

until I need a nap, and then start all over again. I’m thrilled to report that I’ve had another healthy month, and I

couldn’t be more grateful for my continued good fortune. My correspondent and I enjoyed our time together this

month as always, and she told me about a large new crew of feral kittens she is helping to socialize. She and the

other volunteers are spending time with these tiny babies so they can get used to people, which we hope will allow

them to more quickly find forever homes. Paws crossed, they will all soon realize how spectacular human affection can be!

I’m hoping you enjoy the regal and dignified picture I’m attaching to this month’s update. My correspondent snapped

this photo on a chilly, rainy day when I just couldn’t bear to crawl out of my warm, cozy bed. All I wanted to do

was stay cuddled up, and my correspondent was more than happy of course to just hang out with me. She gave me lots

of love and pets, and told me how pretty I am. How can a girl ever get enough of that? I just soaked it all in and

purred like a kitten.

Oh, and I hear that the Linda Fund, our annual matching donation event, has been extended until the end of September.
