Update for Lester

Dear friends,

This past month has brought another round of changes to Suite FIV. My longtime nemesis, Pyewacket, lost his battle with cancer. Though we’ve had our challenges and fur-flying battles, I do miss the guy.

We also have two new additions: Amos and McNulty. Amos is a shy, semi-feral cat, so he’s been keeping to himself. McNulty is a bit squirrelly around cats, but absolutely adores people. I think they should have named him McMushy, as he melts into a puddle of goo at the kind hands of humans.

If you’ve ever visited me, you know I’m pretty much a lounger, especially when it’s cold out. I like to take long naps on my favorite chair. Now that the weather is improving, I’m spending more time in the solarium. My favorite activity, aside from napping and eating, is observing my roommates and the humans who visit us.

I’ve noticed that Wolfie has begun to outgrow Charlie in the weight department. Sure enough, I recently overheard a staff member saying that Wolfie now weighs a titanic 16.2 pounds and has won the official title of “Largest FIV Resident.” I think I better start guarding my food.

Between Pyewacket’s declining health and all the newbies, we’ve had a lot of human visitors this month. My cat friends, Newman, Mr. Grey Fluffy Pants, Adelaide, Charlie, Buddy, McNulty and even Mona, have been soaking up all the attention. I just sit back and wait for the humans to come to me, which they always do because they can’t resist my good looks and charm (and lack of modesty :-).

As always, I’m so grateful for all your support and love. Thanks to you, I get to nap, eat and enjoy my days in this happy environment.

Hugs and kisses,
Lester
