Hi, friends.
It’s the start of a new year, and January 1 marks the unofficial birthday of every Tabby’s Place cat. You see, cats don’t keep a calendar, so we can’t tell our friends at Tabby’s Place when we were born.
This January 1 marked my 7th birthday. I guess that makes me a big boy –- all grown up -– though sometimes I still feel and act like a young boy. I love to play, especially when someone waves a toy around. I do sometimes get rough with the other cats, but this month was a fairly peaceful one. I’ve been a little nicer to the others. Plus, Newman is no longer stalking me. New year, new laid back attitudes in the FIV suite? Only time will tell.
Our newest roommate is a round-faced tuxedo named Mitt. He’s a bit bashful, but I hear he’s gentle and sweet. Rumor has it there’s another on the way –- a gentle, three-legged boy named Knox. Given the extreme cold outside, which keeps us seeking comfort and warmth indoors, I have a feeling we’re all going to get cozy and familiar with each other real soon!
My health has been terrific, with no further reports of, ummm, bathroom troubles. I think it’s safe to say we’re all happy about that around here.
I hope your holidays were bright and cheerful. Sending you furry hugs and much gratitude for all your kindness and support.
Your pal,
Lester
