Update for Kitten Fund

Hello again, Kitten Fund friends!

Kitten season continues roaring through Tabby’s Place, or at the moment, we might say into, through, and beyond. Let me explain:

Last month’s mamas and babies are all doing well. Nadine is settling into her forever home; Jasmine and her own baby Matcha are on hold to be adopted together; and sweet Demeter gave birth to four healthy babies, Arion, Plutus, Eubuleus and Amphitheus.

If you have a gander at the adoptable cats page just now, however, you will find exactly one itty bitty, little Funnel Cake. Earlier this summer, we were inundated with kittens, but apparently we are in a bit of a lull at the moment.

Never fear, though, kitten lovers. We all know (all too well) that lulls in Kitten Season are temporary opportunities to catch one’s breath. I have a sneaking feeling that I will have many more kittens to tell you about in just a few short weeks.

We did have some terribly sad news just this past week, unfortunately. We had to let little Tyke go. It is so hard to have to let one of our littlest kittens leave us this way. We are simultaneously grateful for the time we have with them and utterly heartbroken to see such a small, sweet life come to an end. Kittens are remarkably tough…until they’re unbearably fragile.

It takes a special person to fall in love with these beautiful creatures, knowing the highs and lows that may lie ahead for them. A special person like you. Thank you so very much for sharing the journey of each and every little one that comes to Tabby’s Place, helping them to have the very best life for however long we get to know them.
