Update for Kitten Fund

Dear Kitten Fund friends,

We are winding down Kitten Season for sure now; our inflow of little ones has slowed (though we all know that it never really stops!) We still have several little ones in foster and quarantine: Autumn, Cinnamon, Pumpkin, Beverly, Domino, Luellen, Tonka, Tivo, Roku, Seeso and Fire (the last four of whom are apparently in need of some serious socialization!) It’s funny, though – I stop by to visit regularly, and lately I rarely have a kitten to hang out with, because they’re either in quarantine (dratted ringworm!), or else they’re being fostered, or else they’re being snatched up as soon as they return from fostering!

You might remember that last month a litter of kittens arrived the day before your monthly update. Well, as it turned out, those three kittens were Tribble’s siblings – they were just a few weeks late to the party. Worf (whose intake photo below just might win the award for cutest ever!) and Data have already been adopted together, and Tribble has gone to his forever home, too. Little Beverly is patiently waiting her turn.

Also adopted this month: Talitha, Irene, Topeka, Jake, and Odetta. Meanwhile, Roland, Autumn and Pumpkin are on hold. The sweetest of the “ringworm kittens” (Irene’s kids from the hoarding situation), Randall, is inexplicably still available. (Well, he is still back in ringworm, which doesn’t help, but somehow his siblings were adopted despite that.)

My favorite adoption story this month, though, was Fontina’s. We weren’t sure she would find a forever home, since any cat (even an adorable kitten) with continence issues can wait a long time for the right adopter. Amazingly, little Fontina didn’t have to wait long at all; she was adopted by an Iraq War vet who specifically wanted a cat in need of some extra TLC. Both Fontina and her new person are so very blessed to have found each other!

Knowing that we have helped so many little kittens find their way to their own cozy homes this year makes the coming holidays feel that much warmer. Thank you, wonderful, wonderful sponsors, for helping to provide all the love and care that these little cuties could ask for. You have helped create so many happy endings. All of us at Tabby’s Place wish you the very best of holiday seasons!
