Hips’ Happenings #7
Happy July, Dear Sponsors!
Welcome to my latest happenings.

I hope you all had a wonderful July 4th celebration. It was a little loud around here–something called “fireworks.” There were bright lights in the sky and noises. We have fireworks inside, too, when some of the kitties get a bit territorial (Grecca), but they are a bit different from the ones outside (LOL!).
So, I had so many wonderful days here this month. Are you a fan of Wrestlemania? Well, whether you are or are not, we have our own Wrestlemania right here in the lobby. Don’t be upset as this is just kitty play! Mika and I have been playing a lot and rolling around the lobby having a great old time (the staff should play Adele’s “Rollin’ in the Deep” when we play–haha). Sometimes we play with toys and sometimes we just play with each other and sometimes we play with each other with toys. Whew, did that just tire me out even thinking about it! Because when we are done, we just curl up for a nap. But then Mika got adopted. I am so happy for her because now she has her furever home. And I am just fine.

You know I have more than one kitty friend. Prescott and I have been enjoying each other’s company more than ever. We kind of have a system worked out. We play, we nap, we play, we nap… I find a hooman lap to curl up in or just nestle in Prescott’s crate. It has a nice soft and clean blankie and I love to take big yawns and just sleep for hours after breakfast and supper.

But I still have chores to do. Darn if I don’t always have to follow behind the volunteers to check out the beds, blankies, and toys. And you know me… I am always looking for those forbidden treats or any treats, especially if Rosie the Robot is around. Hah, I could chase her all day. But she kind of ignores me and I really can’t roll with her like I used to roll with Mika.
Plus now there are kittens rolling into the kitten room. I need to supervise them, too, through the glass windows in the lobby. Boy, do they look like they are having fun in there!

Healthwise, I am just fine. Sometimes I am sound asleep when the staff comes to “grab” me for my monthly checkup with Dr. C. and Denise. But I love to be picked up and held and petted, so I don’t mind if they prod and poke and clip nails and check ears and nose and teeth… ha-ha… it’s like a game for me.
I am here if you want to visit me. If you sit in a lobby chair, I promise to come over and sit in your lap and let you give me lots of hugs and kisses. Tabby’s Place is the best and I just love all the staff, volunteers, and 99.9 percent of the kitties (Grecca…LOL!). Thanks to your love and being so generous, I get to live a good life here. I would love to meet you and make you smile and laugh at my antics. Come for a visit and see what I’m up to.
Until then…
Love to all,
Hips
