Update for Casper

Dear Sponsors,

Greetings from Tabby’s Place!

As you may remember from last month’s correspondence, I was not doing so well then. However, if I may say so, I am quite a miracle! During this past month, I have been feeling better and better. Although (I am told) my renal values are still high, you wouldn’t know it from the way I am acting. I love to stroll around the lobby, stopping to munch on food and soaking up the affection of everyone (felines and humans) I meet. No one can resist my charms!

Not much in my lab work has changed. My blood glucose is still high, and my best friends at Tabby’s Place are closely monitoring me.

Sometimes I get subcutaneous fluids to help my kidneys, but sometimes I make it known that I don’t feel like it on a particular day. My caretakers are very kind, and don’t force me to have fluids if I get upset.

My guardian angels — the people who rescued me and brought me here — still visit me often. Sometimes they feed me by hand, as you can see in the picture I’ve included. On other occasions, these kind souls bring me just outside the front door, and sit with me. I enjoy being in the open air and hearing all the beautiful sounds of nature. One of my feline friends in the lobby, Psi, also gets to spend a little time outside in the company of volunteers. She is another cat that could never have made it without Tabby’s Place.

I hope that someone takes you outside also.

As always, I am so grateful for your extraordinary kindness. Your generosity makes my life wonderful.

I send you all my love,

Casper
