Update for Casper

Hello my dear sponsors,

I hope that you are well. It has been a worrisome month for me. I lost a significant amount of weight, so Tabby’s Place’s vet team ran a full panel of blood work. Sadly, I have developed chronic kidney disease. This is unusual in such a young cat like me, and the vet fears it may indicate a second site of my cancer.

To help me feel better, our vet team treated me with a few days of intensive IV fluid therapy in our hospital. I just returned to the Lobby, and I’ll receive daily subcutaneous fluids going forward.

My diabetes has also grown unwieldy this month, with my blood glucose levels scratching the stratosphere. My friends here have increased my insulin dose, and they are monitoring me extremely closely.

Through it all, I remain sunny and optimistic. Many kind people visit me and pet me, and say loving things to me.

I look forward especially to the frequent visits by two special angels: the wonderful couple that first rescued and cared for me, and then brought me to Tabby’s Place. Last Sunday, my correspondents met them for the first time. They were all talking about what a sweetheart I am, and caressing me with soft words…I felt bathed in love! They were also talking about the cats they have rescued. I could listen to this conversation for hours! I feel so fortunate to be loved by so many caring people.

I am trying my best to do everything I can to get a bit better. I am so grateful, my dear sponsors, for everything that you do. Your love helps get me through these tough times.

xoxoxo,
Casper
