Buddy lovers,

What complete and total joy to be on the receiving end of Buddy head butts, and to hear the motor that drives his purrs of appreciation. Buddy is most often found on top of the crates in the FIV suite. He really appreciates the soft blankets provided there for his afternoon and morning and evening naps. It’s tiring work, running away from Dre all the time.

Our boy has had a bit of medical news this month. Like many FIV+ cats, Buddy has a history of dental disease. Because of his “bad” teeth, Buddy’s on our list of cats in need of yearly dental check-ups. Buddy is on our November dental schedule, so he’ll have his annual cleaning and any necessary extractions this month. Keeping on top of Buddy’s dental needs is the best way to save him from the suffering caused by painful cavities.

Otherwise, our gentle soul has had a happy and uneventful month. Volunteers and visitors are learning what a sweet little man our Buddy is, and the ladder left near his favorite perch gets more traffic as people climb the stairs for visits.
