Dear Bubbles buddies,

How would you feel if you had just moved to a new town, where no one bullied you and you were surrounded by unaccustomed love, warmth and adequate food? For a while, you might be nervous and scared, thinking about the possibility of new friends, who might or might not like you. You might hide in your room, trying to assess the situation.

This is the way Bubbles must have felt when she was brought to Tabby’s Place, after living on her own in a feral colony, where she was bullied by other cats and not getting enough to eat.

Soon, though, she found other cats who liked her. Many times, when she dared to leave her safe place in the cat tree, she could be found in one of the cubbyholes, snuggled up with Reginald and Sheldon.

Last month, a good thing and a bad thing happened. Reginald, Sheldon and Tortini, Bubbles’ friends from the Special Needs suite, were adopted together. That’s wonderful for them, not so wonderful for Bubbles.

However, at Tabby’s Place, new cats arrive all the time. Several newcomers have been added to the Special Needs Suite, including Gherkin, Kaycee and Chewbacca (who may be even more scared than Bubbles). And, Bubbles is starting to warm up to Bacon. Time will tell if she has found new companions, who will accept her the way she is. Stay tuned.
