Update for Bubbles

Hello fellow Bubble buddies,

Have you ever heard of a foster failure? It’s actually not a negative thing at all. It is when a person or family intends to bring a cat into their home while waiting for the forever home to come along. But during this waiting period, the foster family falls in love with the cat and decides to adopt him/her.

Well, my 10 year old is a complete foster failure (like how I blame him?).

It was a family decision to foster Bubbles. I had filled out the adoption application “just in case” she couldn’t find a home. Well, less than 3 weeks into her foster, my son made it very clear that we could never give her up. He loves her and she seems to trust him; there is a special bond forming there. So, long story short, Bubbles is now home.

Forever.

Bubbles is doing fantastically well. We have graduated to petting her with our hands along with her wand toy. She loves to “talk” to us, especially first thing in the morning. She has put on a little weight and will play with toys with us. She still has a long way to go as far as trust goes, but she genuinely seems happy to see us. She’s especially content watching the birds outside. The next step is to begin introducing her to the rest of the furry family. This will be a slow process, but there’s no rush. We will take it day by day. Our goal is to give her the best life we can.

I can’t thank you and Tabby’s Place enough for giving little Bubbles a chance. She is a special girl that just needed some love and commitment, and you have provided that and more. I sign off as her correspondent, but feel free to check up on her. I will be giving frequent updates to the Tabby’s Place staff.

Since Bubbles has been adopted, we have transferred your monthly sponsorship to another Special Needs cat in need of your support. Bubbles has passed the baton of your sponsorship to little Olive, her onetime neighbor-through-the-glass at Tabby’s Place. You can meet Olive here, and you can catch up on her past adventures here. Unless we hear otherwise from you, you will receive updates on Olive each month going forward.

However, you may also do one of the following:

  • Choose to have your sponsorship transferred to support another Special Needs cat of your choice.
You can see all of our Special Needs cats here.
If you wish to do this, please contact us by email and let us know your wishes.
  • You may choose to discontinue your monthly sponsorship. To do so, please contact us at 908-237-5300 with your request.

We do hope that you decide to continue supporting our cats in need. And, whatever you do, thank you again for your generosity to Bubbles!
