My name is Beth, and I have the privilege of being able to write Boots’ update this month, as his regular correspondent was not available.

Although you and I have never “met” before, I am no stranger to Mr. Boots. I met Boots about two and a half years ago, when I adopted my own cat from Tabby’s Place. Boots was actually one of the first kitties I ever met; I sat down in the Lobby area, a bit overwhelmed by the abundance of furry-purry friends padding around, and outgoing Boots jumped right onto my lap and asked for some snuggles! I remember being told then that Boots can sometimes be a bit persnickety around other cats, so I’m pretty excited to let you all know that it’s very (very) possible that Boots has a girlfriend.

Ok, so maybe I’m romanticizing the story a bit (I tend to do that…), but here’s the scoop: multiple staff and volunteers have caught Boots and Olive keeping close company. How close, you may ask? Well, Executive Director Jonathan caught the two of them conspiring together in the Lobby bathroom one afternoon (see photographic evidence).

What’s it all about? Are they romantically involved? Are they forming a black-and-white-feline coalition? Are they starting the revolution? Stay tuned, Bootsie-cutsies. I guarantee this isn’t the last we’ve heard of these clandestine meetings…

Fortunately, the threat of a scandal is the only worry on Boots’ mind this month. He’s been marvelously healthy. He wants you to know that, shenanigans aside, he’s doing great. He loves you and wishes you a happy start to the summer! Thank you for being Boots’ friend and, by association, mine too! Be well 🙂
