June greetings from your favorite beautiful, bewhiskered, black and white boy.

It seems my faithful correspondent, Karin, is away this month, and I have a pinch-hitter taking my dictation (sigh!). I am trying not to take umbrage but, really, a special cat like me deserves so much better and should not have to accept substitutes; don’t you agree?

As you know, recently I have had a few new roomies to contend with. Mimi and Psi are admittedly cute but are getting an inordinate amount of attention, in my humble opinion. Mimi seems to have taken up where I left off – adopting a cocky attitude and even bopping the other cats on the head!

As if it isn’t bad enough that my lobby (emphasis on my) is bustling with activity, now I also have to abide a batch of boisterous, bothersome babies -– yes, it’s kitten season, and it seems like there are a hundred of them. I realize that they aren’t living in my lobby, but just knowing they are on the premises is enough to turn even the calmest cat into a boorish bully. Somebody has to teach them some manners! Through it all, however, I remain the perfect gentleman…exhibiting the beguiling behavior you have come to expect from me.

In other news, June 4th was National Hug Your Cat Day, and although it has passed, I am more than happy to continue to welcome all the cuddles you wish to bestow on me – let’s show these interlopers who really rates in the lobby!
