Spring has sprung here in New Jersey and the hundreds of daffodils at Tabby’s Place are blooming their little yellow hearts out. I visited our Boots last week and he was sound asleep (what else is new?) perched on top of a cat tree in the lobby. I said hello and he barely opened his eyes to see who it was. To me he seems like one mellow fellow, but I haven’t seen the “other side” of our handsome Bootsie.
There have been some recent changes to the cast of characters sharing the lobby with Boots, with Bialy finding his forever home and Colleen moving herself into the Community Room. Given the traffic and visitors going through the lobby, though, I don’t think Boots even noticed the changes – he probably slept through them!
Boots has had a pretty quiet month this time around. He had a recheck done on his blood pressure, which is fine, and had a bit of an upper respiratory event, marked by him sneezing out some bigtime goop. Overall, though, he’s doing very well. At one point, someone reported that he just didn’t seem “right”, but when our vet staff had a look, he seemed to be totally normal. Just to be on the safe side, we’re keeping an eye on him, as always.
It’s a great month when all we’re concerned about is Boots’ runny nose! Thank you as always for your generous support of his care.
