Update for Boo Boo

Hello, My name is Connie, and I am Boo Boo’s new correspondent (Jonathan, Executive Director of Tabby’s Place, was writing on Boo Boo’s behalf temporarily).

I met Boo Boo for the first time on Friday, July 29. I didn’t know what to expect as I was told he had a spinal injury since having a door shut on him when he was young.

When I met Boo Boo, he was in his favorite spot when the weather is nice: the outdoor solarium (pictured at right on the solarium ramp). I was happily impressed with his friendly and outgoing nature and I hardly noticed that he had a problem. I doubt Boo Boo even realizes that he is different from other cats. Either that or he thinks the rest of the cat world walks funny, not him. He constantly bumped up against my legs, his version of rubbing. He nibbled at my leg a few times, too (it didn’t hurt).

Boo Boo loved being rubbed all over but especially on his chest. All cats have a special place that they like you to touch and I think I found his. Boo Boo’s fur was really flying from shedding, so I think I will bring a brush with me next time.

Thanks again for your support of Boo Boo. I will look forward to keeping you updated on how he is doing.
