Bagheera has finished his round of antibiotics and his recent urine culture came back negative (YEAH!). We all should cross our fingers that his urinary tract infection doesn’t come back, as he is very prone to them.

As I am writing this I am looking out at all the snow. We did luck out for quite a while with the mild winter weather that enabled Bagheera to frequently spend time outdoors (Darn that groundhog!). On colder days Bagheera stays close to the front of the building. But when the weather is nice, he wanders further, sometimes around the back of the building to Cherny’s Garden, a memorial garden we created in memory of one of our extraordinary Special Needs cats.

On the days it is just too cold for him (& me), Bags likes to sit in the sun that shines through the front glass door. There is usually a basket there for Lady, another resident of the lobby who started the trend of sitting in the sun by the door. I put Bagheera in the basket one day and he really enjoyed it (photo at left). He sat there looking out, kneading the blanket and finally falling asleep. A few days later we went out for a short walk and when we came back in he went straight for the basket – he tried to get in while still in his cart (photo below)! He sure knows what he wants!
