Happy New Year, Bacon Sponsors!
It’s been pretty busy around Tabby’s Place lately— over twenty cats and kittens went to their forever homes in December alone! Not that our handsome fella noticed. He still spends his days happily snoozing away while Sally has run of the office and then takes over at night.
But this didn’t stop Bacon from getting in on the holiday cheer! He was one of many lucky Tabby’s Place residents to receive personalized presents from sponsors and adoring fans, of which he no doubt has many. What’s not to love about that skeptical little face? How can anyone not look at him and wonder what deep philosophical thoughts are going on behind those big emerald eyes?
One volunteer even remarked that Bacon reminds him of James Bond! Fans of the cartoon “Phineas & Ferb” will understand where this sent my imagination!
By day, Bacon is an unassuming cat on anti-seizure medication who naps quietly while the unsuspecting humans do whatever it is humans do all day. But by night, he’s Agent B, a one-cat army standing against all that would seek to bring discord to Tabby’s Place! Bugs, thunderstorms, and supervillains of all kinds tremble at just the mention of his name. Tabby’s Place is secure in the paws of Agent B—as long as his secret is safe. (And Sally certainly isn’t talking.)
Crime fighting aside, Bacon is enjoying good health and continues to respond well to his reduced dosage. He awakens when Sally gets put to bed for the night and patiently waits to be given run of the office so that he can run his laps and collect treats from admirers.
We’re hoping that 2019 will be a happy, healthy year for this bewitching boy.
