Update for Bacon

Dear Sponsor,

I hope you had a fabulous Valentine’s Day! You are certainly my special Valentine, and I want to send you lots of purrs and love.

I am doing so well and am very happy! For a long time, my medical reports were very depressing. There was little good news in them; they told of my battle with severe seizures. I think I’ve won the battle. My latest report is almost glowing with good news. Karina reported that my “seizures are now very rare and extremely mild…” Occasionally, I still might become startled and have a little trouble settling down, but that’s no big deal. I attribute my improvement to two things: excellent care and my current living conditions.

I really enjoy sharing the office with Karina and Sally. Karina is wonderful to me, and Sally simply ignores me. I think she pretends that I don’t even exist. I guess we’ll never be BFFs, but at least we live in harmony.

As you know, I’m crated during the day while Sally is out and about. That’s fine with me! I can nap whenever I want, and, if I get bored, I can always see what Sally and Karina are doing. Karina’s always busy, and sometimes she has to leave the office. When Karina’s gone, Sally usually goes over to the gate and sits there, waiting for Karina’s return.

Lynn comes to see Sally every Friday as part of the Enrichment Program. She tries to get Sally to play with a mechanical toy or a wand. When Sally plays, she’s rewarded with treats. Lynn always gives me treats, too. I especially like the freeze-dried chicken ones. Lynn always spends time with me, talking to me quietly and scratching my head.

When Sally is crated at the end of the day, I’m let out. This usually happens before dinner. I’d like to say that I always wait patiently for dinner to be served, but that wouldn’t really be the truth. There are times when I’m very hungry and meow, asking “Where’s dinner?” On one Monday, a very nice volunteer heard me “squeaking,” as she described it, and came to see what was wrong with me. She quickly discovered that I was simply calling for my dinner. I was happy to see her, but I would have been much happier if she’d brought dinner!

I have to thank you for sponsoring me. You help make it possible for me to be at Tabby’s Place. I don’t know what would have happened to me if I hadn’t found my way here. This is a fantastic place, and I am so lucky to be here!
Thanks again!

Love,
Bacon
