My dearest friends,

As I consider the upcoming holidays and our special friendship, my heart expands with joy. There is no greater gift than your love and support.
While the lovely people at Tabby’s Place decorate, hum Christmas tunes, and prance about, I do my part by spreading cheer to all the humans who visit me. That includes my good friend/nemesis, who frequently brushes me.

After a recent brushing session, I thanked her for my luscious locks, played a little footsie with her, and then … I attacked her toes. I guess you could say I got a little overstimulated.
Luckily, my friend knows I adore her most of the time (like when she’s not brushing me, or when she sings cute songs with variations of my nickname … this time, Anka-Chonka).
I recently learned that I have a reputation for being one of the more difficult cats to express. I was honestly surprised. My money would have been on Olive, because she’s sassy and her screams could peel the paint off the walls.
Seriously, who likes to have their bladder and bowels expressed? I guess some kitties, like Colonel Peabody, are just kinder and more tolerant. I will try harder to model their behavior.
In the meantime, the kind staff have been sharing tips and tricks with one another to get more comfortable expressing me and avoid getting bitten as I fiercely protest. Maybe I’ll send chocolates after they wrestle express me to show that I really do care.

There’s a new guy, Clifford, in the Quinn’s Corner lobby. Because he’s not a fan of other cats (I can relate), he now lives solo in the lobby full time. He seems to enjoy this and has apparently crowned himself King of Quinn’s Corner Lobby. He lounges like royalty, trying out all the soft beds, and enjoys it when humans fuss over him.
I understand how easy it is to let an important position go to your head. As Mayor of Quinn’s Corner, I sometimes like to throw my weight around, but that’s just because I’m literally quite big.
Speaking of big—thank you for your sweet, giant heart! Your continuous love and generosity inspire me every single day. I wish you and your loved ones a beautiful holiday season.
All my love,
Anka-(Bonka)-Chonka
