Update for Anka

Dear Friends,

Tired of the February cold and snowstorms, I asked our amazing Tabby’s Place staff to bring me some warm, dry desert sunshine. And boy did they deliver! Not only are we enjoying some sunny, spring-like days here in New Jersey, but I got my very own cactus scratching post. This also adds a western flair to my luxury accommodations.

As you can see from my video below, I like to attack my cactus post and show it who’s boss. This is part intimidation for my enemies, which includes all the lobby cats. “See what I can do to this giant cactus? Get too close and you could be next,” is my not-so-subtle message.

Brave Stanley

This intimidation tactic is obviously not working with sweet, mellow Stanley, as you can see from this photo. Stanley likes to wander the lobby in search of odd sleeping spaces.

Valerie, a new paraplegic cat at Tabby’s Place, recently took up residence in the lobby. Being new and unable to read the sign outside my luxury accommodations warning of my cat attacks, she got too close to my enclosure and I quickly scared her off.  I don’t think she’ll be eager to get close to me any time soon.

With the nice weather, I’ve been able to go out for stroller rides and join the staff for outdoor lunches. All of this makes me a very happy boy.

Sending you love and kisses for your continued support and friendship.

Love,

Anka
