Update for Anka

Hello dear friends,

I have exciting news! I’m honored to report that I have officially been approved to visit nursing homes as part of the Tabby’s Place Aged to Purrfection program. I had my first visit to a nursing home just a few weeks ago and they tell me I was a big hit (honestly, I can’t say I was surprised). I loved all the wonderful seniors I met and cuddled with and can’t wait to visit with them again soon.

I have also been on many stroller rides outside. And, some lovely volunteers even set up a big gated area with soft, comfy blankets so I could enjoy some quality outdoor time on a beautiful day. I explored, played and took a nice long nap before heading back inside. I’m so thankful to our loving volunteers for creating special moments like this.

Now, if I may vent briefly, that Melanie has some nerve! She ignored the sign on my gate that forbids other cats in my area, and recently jumped on top of my crate in my very own space. Likely knowing she was breaking the rules and I couldn’t reach her to do anything about it, she just sat there with a smug, victorious look on her face. I must get to work on an elaborate booby trap of some kind …

Not all the Lobby residents are so bold. There’s an extremely sweet, special needs girl named Rose who was recently “promoted” to the Lobby. While I’m not a fan of other cats, I can see that she’s very popular and loved by both humans and other kitties. Speaking of special needs, Tabby’s Place is offering matching donations to the Linda Fund, which provides life-saving care for our cats in greatest need, like Rose. Many hugs and kisses for all your love and support.

Your friend,

Anka
