Update for Angus

Wonderful news! Angus has just been adopted!

When last I told you about Angus, we were trying to reintroduce him to the FIV+ suite. With his gentle demeanor and the fighting for dominance that continued among the other males there, though, he continued to fare poorly. We couldn’t leave him in the suite, but all of the additional rooms we have for our unusual cases were filled.

Luckily, Barbara, our Resident Associate, stepped forward. She was familiar with Angus, having helped to care for him when he first arrived at Tabby’s Place and was in Quarantine (all our incoming cats are placed in Quarantine to make sure they have no contagious diseases or health problems). Like most of the rest of us, she adored his gentle, affectionate nature, and she decided to lend a paw by fostering him. He was moved into her apartment, where, as an ’only’ cat, it was hoped he’d have an opportunity to relax after having been through so much trouble.

A bit of breathing space did well for our boy. Barbara (pictured above with Angus) reported that he sometimes played enthusiastically with a favorite cat toy, something he never did in his suite. If she took a nap, he was delighted to curl up with her, and he slept on her bed every night. After a few weeks of this fostering, and not altogether to our surprise, Barbara fell completely under Angus’ spell, and she has now formally adopted him. I’m delighted that Angus has found what I know will be an ideal home (something he richly deserves), but best of all, I’ll have visiting privileges!

Thank you for helping us care for our cuddly boy. As per our policy, we have transferred your monthly sponsorship to our Special Needs Fund, which helps support all of our Special Needs cats. As a supporter of the Special Needs Fund, you will receive a monthly update on a different Special Needs cat each month.

However, you may choose to do one of the following:

  • Transfer your sponsorship to support another Special Needs cat. You can see all of our Special Needs cats here.
If you wish to do this, please contact us by email and let us know your wishes.
  • You may choose to discontinue your monthly sponsorships. To do so, please contact us by phone with your request.

We do hope that you decide to continue supporting our cats in need. But, whatever you do, thank you for your caring about Angus.
