Meet Zelda, our newest lobby resident. She’s a small, white Persian, but right now she looks a bit odd, as she arrived with most of her fur shaved. Zelda was born on 2/22/05 and she’s very affectionate and talkative. We know she lived with other cats before she came to us, but we’re not certain how well she got along with them. As of now she’s seem to be a bit wary of her new feline roommates; however, this may change as she becomes more settled here.

Zelda’s former owner suddenly began traveling a great deal. That, combined with the introduction of two other cats into the household, was too much for Zelda; she began to have issues with inappropriate elimination (if you don’t know, that means she didn’t always use her litter box when she should have). Because this had not been Zelda’s habit throughout her life, we think that the negative change in behavior might have been due to circumstances. We’ll be monitoring her closely here to see if this behavior continues.
