Wendy

Also known as “Momcat”, Wendy was found outdoors with four very young kittens. After all she had been through, Wendy might be forgiven for being withdrawn and distrustful of people. Instead, she’s got a sunny, happy disposition. She’s a real purrbox who likes people, but she’s also very mellow.

It’s difficult to describe Wendy’s coat, as it doesn’t fit neatly into any one category. It’s somewhat gray and somewhat brown, with a little dilute orange in the mix. She’s almost got tabby markings, but not quite. She’s of medium size, and, according to our best guess, 18 to 24 months of age (as of May 2009). She’s been a terrific Mom and has been very tolerant with her little ones, which leads us to believe she might be equally tolerant with other cats. We’d love to see her adopted with Chili or Chalupa (the two kittens not yet on hold), but that’s not mandatory.

Wendy should be ready to go home on or soon after June 11th (2009); the kittens aren’t weaned yet and she must also be spayed. But if you’ve been searching for good-natured feline companionship, come meet our proud Mom.
