Tortini

What could have happened to this little girl? Tortini was found outside, with a broken ulna and a couple of serious bite wounds; she was only about five months old when she sustained these injuries (we believe she was born around mid-June, 2015). The bite wounds have healed beautifully. Tortini will be on cage rest for that broken ulna a bit longer, probably for another few weeks (it’s 12/28/15 as I write this), but we expect that to heal completely, as well.

Tortini is a petite girl, and she has beautiful coat coloration. She’s a calico, with a lot of dark color. She’s easy to recognize, with a white chest and a large orange patch on the lower right side of her face.

You can scratch Tortini’s head and pet her cheeks, but she’s quite scared of humans at this point—not that that’s a surprise, after all she’s been through! She will require a good deal of socialization before she begins to trust people. In time, though, we believe this little girl will blossom into a loving, lovely companion.
