Tess

Tess is a funny black-and-white female. She has white on her hind legs, front paws, tummy, chest, and chin, as well as a white stripe down her nose; the remainder of her coat is black. She has beautiful amber eyes. We believe Tess was born in early May of 2013, so she’s just a baby.

This little girl gets into EVERYTHING. Recently, when I hadn’t been able to find her for a couple of hours, the staff wasn’t concerned at first, since it’s well known that she’ll often curl up for a nap in one of several spots where it’s impossible to see her unless you know where to look. This time, however, when the staff began to check for her, she wasn’t in any of the usual places. She was eventually found, curled up and sleeping comfortably—at the bottom of a deep trash can! (Yes, it’s since been blocked off!) When we hauled her up, she gave a big stretch, groomed her fur for a moment, and ran off to play, obviously none the worse for her experience. But it’s more proof to us, as if any was needed, that you have to be cautious with kittens, particularly this one. Because Tess is so heedless, she MUST LIVE INDOORS ONLY.

She’s a healthy girl, as far as we can determine. Tess does nip sometimes, but she’s an affectionate little girl with a big purr who likes to climb onto shoulders. All she needs now is her forever home, and we’re confident that she’ll find that soon.
