Tails is brother to TJ, but the two aren’t especially close (typical for cats); at this point, we don’t have them in the same suite Tails is still quite frightened (if you haven’t read TJ’s profile, the two lived together in a private home before coming here), although a few of our staff have had success in getting him relaxed enough to rub his belly. Tails has striking yellow eyes and a gorgeous dark grey coat. Like TJ, we believe there’s a lot of potential with this guy, but his adopter will need some patience to coax him out of his shell.

Update: Tails is much improved in personality these days. We’ve moved him to a smaller suite. He’s still frightened sometimes, and occasionally aggressive because of it, but he likes some attention from people. He’s begun to be rather “talky”, too.

Tails is one of our Special Needs crew. He may or may not have heart disease. He had heart disease at some point, but he was also hyperthyroid. He was treated successfully for his hyperthyroidism, and that treatment may also have reversed his heart disease. We’re not absolutely certain of this, however, so we’re listing him as a heart disease suspect just to be on the safe side.
