Spike

Spike is a surprised-looking male. He has a funny little black chin, with a lot of white on his face and chest, some white on his paws, and white whiskers; the rest of his coat is black. Our best guess is that he’s about 3 years of age (as of 2/2010), and he has no health issues.

Spike came to us from a shelter where he was in a room with multiple other cats, and he did well in that situation. Even in the short time he’s been in a suite here, we can tell he gets along with other felines. Upon his arrival Spike was very shy, but he’s made tremendous progress during his time here. He’s become much more trusting of our staff and volunteers and enjoys petting. He’s not quite ready to be picked up and cuddled as he still startles easily, but we believe it’s just a matter of time before he becomes a real snuggle bug.

Spike would do best in a quiet home with other feline companions and a patient owner who can help bring Spike out of his shell.
