Marie and sister Skyler (also at Tabby’s Place) were found in a car. We estimate that both were born at the very end of July (2013), so they’re young animals; both are healthy as far as we can determine.

Marie has a broad white stripe down her otherwise-black nose. She’s got white on all four paws, with a white chin, chest, and tummy. The rest of her coat is black. She is extremely active, as you’d expect. When Marie and Skyler were found, both were terrified, but Marie loved people almost immediately (Skyler took longer to come around but has improved immensely; see her profile).

Usually, Marie can be found galloping around our Community Room. But she never seems to mind stopping her play for attention. She likes to be petted and will burst into a big purr when you touch her. When she’s tired, she enjoys being held. A friend of mine came to visit Tabby’s Place and was cooing over Marie. My friend picked Marie up and held her like a baby, and Marie fell asleep in my friend’s arms and slept that way for over half an hour—too cute!

It is not necessary for Marie and Skyler to be adopted together, but they do get along well, and it would be nice for Marie to have someone her age to play with. Come in to meet this lovebug, but don’t blame us if you go home with a new best friend or two!
