Sherpa
What on earth happened to this poor feline? Sherpa was discovered as a stray living under someone’s shed. He must have been on his own and outside for some time, as his intake report describes him as "malnourished, severely underweight, and very matted (to the skin)". While such an occurrence is all too common with mixed breed cats, it is very uncommon indeed to see a Himalayan in this situation. Of course, we have no papers for proof, but if Sherpa is not a purebred Himalayan, well, you could have fooled us. He’s got the blue eyes, long fur, and typical Himalayan color pattern. He’s a gorgeous boy, and fortunately, he’s been doing well since he came to Tabby’s Place.
Our best estimate is that Sherpa was born sometime in 2009. He has an ulcer on his left eye; it’s healing nicely but will likely leave a scar, although we do not expect that there will be any loss of vision.
