Sam

Sam is a small, all-black male. He looks positively tiny next to some of the “big boys” we have at Tabby’s Place, but he’s full-grown. Our best guess is that he was born sometime around August of 2008. He can be very active, as befits a young cat, and he’s healthy as far as we can determine.

We know that Sam was very frightened in the shelter from which he came to us, but he’s done much better since arriving here. It’s easy to tell that he wants to be your friend; sit near him, and he’ll probably come over to investigate you. He enjoys being petted and likes to play with almost anything you have handy, even if it isn’t normally regarded as a toy. Bear in mind, however, that Sam remains a bit on the shy side (if I’d been found as a stray in New York City, as he was, the same would be true for me!).

We know that Sam has a ton of potential to blossom into a happy, loving companion; all he needs is a chance in a caring environment. Can you help?
