Rusty is one special boy! He’s mostly white with large patches of orange tabby on his, head, back and tail. He also has large, yellow eyes. Rusty is about 2 years old (as of 10/2009) and healthy as far as we can determine; however, he does have a slight head tilt. We believe Rusty’s head tilt is due to scarring in his ear from a previous infection. Despite seeing the world on an angle most of the time, he has fairly good balance and is able to get around without a problem.

Rusty adores other cats and is often seen curled up with his best buddies in his outdoor solarium.
Rusty is a bit more timid with people, although he’s made amazing progress since he arrived. Our staff and volunteers have been working with Rusty each week to build his trust of humans. Now he enjoys being hand-fed treats and will tolerate petting now and again. Our hope is that with a little more work Rusty’s confidence will grow and he will become the gentle, loving companion we know he can be.
