A lot of people think that our Rosie is part Maine Coon. We can understand that; she’s a big, fluffy girl with gorgeous, long, orange-and-white fur. We can’t be certain that she has much of that breed in her ancestry, but of course there’s no way to know for sure. Rosie has white “mittens” on all four paws, as well as white on her chest and tummy. The remainder of her coat is orange, and it goes beautifully with her enormous, pale green eyes.

We are in the unusual position of knowing (not just guessing) Rosie’s age. She’s a trifle over 5 years old as of this writing (early December, 2009). Rosie is one of our FIV+ cats, so we recommend she only go to a home without other felines or with ones that also have this condition. Aside from being FIV+, Rosie has a clean bill of health.

Perhaps Rosie’s best characteristic is her sweet personality. She’s OK with other cats around her, but she absolutely loves people. Better still, she adores being brushed (with her long fur, that’s very fortunate!). We’re very hopeful that Rosie will find her “forever” home quickly, especially given her good nature. Can you help?
