Any time is a good time to pay attention to Rickie, at least in his opinion. This is one gregarious cat, and if he feels you’re not paying enough attention to him, he’ll fairly talk your ear off in telling you so! He’s a charming, large boy, with a black tail, black nose, black on his head, and one black patch on his side; the rest of his coat is white. We believe Rickie to be around 11 years of age (as of 1/09). At some point in his past, he was declawed on all four feet, so he MUST be an indoors-only cat! He doesn’t seem to mind the presence of other cats in the slightest.

It doesn’t take long to notice that Rickie has a large lump on one side of his body. This is a benign, fatty tumor, which he’s had for some years now. The tumor has been aspirated twice, and found not to be malignant. Because it isn’t a threat to his health, it hasn’t been removed.

We know that Rickie’s tumor will make some people hesitant to adopt him. But come in to meet our affectionate “loudmouth” black-and-white, and you might just be won over by his sweet personality!
