Reginald ("Reggie" to his friends) has presented us with a puzzle. We believe that he suffered some sort of traumatic injury before he came to us, because he has some nerve damage in his left rear leg. How the injury occurred, or the nature of it, we’ll probably never know. When he first came to us, he was x-rayed, but the x-rays showed nothing amiss. At any rate, the nerve damage doesn’t seem to affect him too much.
We think Reggie was born in July of 2014, so he’s a young cat. And he’s a handsome boy, too, with his buff-tabby-and-white coat. We don’t believe he had a very easy time of it before he came to us, and as a result he is very, very timid with people. He’s not at all aggressive toward humans, just scared. If you go s-l-o-w-l-y with Reggie, his nice personality starts to show up. We have socializers working with our good boy so he becomes more confident around people, and we’re sure that a little more time in his suite will result in his calming down to a good degree, as well.
