Pepper is a pretty tortoiseshell, with light green eyes. She’s a typical mixture of black, orange, and brown, with a large patch of orange on her chest and a smaller one just above her right eye. Pepper is a good-sized girl—a bit on the chunky side. She’s about 17 years old (as of 1/10), we believe.
As a diabetic, Pepper is one of our Special Needs crew. She’s not wild about other cats but seems able to coexist with most. She is usually affectionate with people but it is important to note that she cannot abide being picked up or held. Because of this, Pepper must go to a home without small children.
Update: Pepper has become much friendlier and much more spoiled since she’s been moved to our executive director’s office. Sadly, Pepper was diagnosed with two types of terminal cancer about a year ago, but despite all odds continues to do well!
