Now, here’s an absolute sweetheart for you. Penelope is on the large side for a female. She’s almost entirely white, with just a little pale grey marking on her head. If you move toward Penelope, she’ll come toward you and start purring, and she loves to be petted. Some of the Tabby’s Place staff tell me that she even enjoys being held.

Penelope is around two years of age as of mid-August, 2009, and, as far as we know, she has no health issues. She’s kept herself rather aloof from the other cats in her suite, but we think that’s due to a couple of domineering personalities in that suite at present. The shelter from which she came to us noted that Penelope “warms up nicely to cats and nice dogs”, so any aloofness from other felines may also be a function of time, as Penelope is new in her suite.
