We are very proud of Peepers. He was absolutely terrified of people when he came to us; we couldn’t get near him. But a little time and a lot of patient attention from our staff and volunteers have worked wonders! Now, he comes running up to investigate whenever anyone enters his suite. He’ll even jump into some laps, and if he doesn’t do that, he’ll probably settle down right next to you when you sit.

Our handsome boy is a medium-haired black-and-white, with white on all four paws, a white tummy, a symmetric white patch on his face and chest, and long white whiskers; the rest of his coat is black (including black on the very tip of his nose—too cute!). We estimate that Peepers is about 2 years old. Because he remains shy, he should go to a home without small children. He’ll need an adopter with some patience, but, based on the huge amount of progress he’s made to date, we’re confident he’ll continue to become better and better around people.
