Patrick

Our vet tech loves all cats, but she was especially enthusiastic when she talked about Patrick. She describes him as an energetic boy, who loves to play (not surprising, as we think she was born late in 2011, so he’s a young feline). She also notes that he’s a funny, happy boy, definitely something of a clown. You may know that, when cats first come to Tabby’s Place, they are caged for a three week quarantine period, to make sure they have nothing communicable. Most cats are frightened by this. As soon as Patrick was put into a cage, he downed a plate of canned food, snacked on some kibble, and started to play! Very little fazes this boy, and we think he’d be fine with kids, or in any energetic household. Patrick is black-and-white, with a mostly-white underside and a black back.

When Patrick came to us, he had surgery to correct entropion, a condition in which a cat’s eyelids curl inward. The surgery should be curative. However, we think that Patrick probably had chronic eye infections as a kitten, and he may have some visual impairment, though you’d never know it to see him playing. He also has nystagmus, which is involuntary eye movement. This looks a little odd, but it isn’t painful or harmful, and there’s nothing to do about it.

Patrick is a great boy with so much going for him. Now, all he needs is a loving home. If you know anyone looking looking for some outgoing feline companionship, we can wholeheartedly recommend our Patrick!
