Onyx

Jingles, Miss Bea, and Onyx all came to us from the same household as part of our Guardian Angel program (see our website for more details). All are seniors. Miss Bea, the youngest, was born around September of 2006. She’s all black and of medium size. Brother Onyx, medium to large in size, is also entirely black; he was born in August of 2002. The third member of the trip, Jingles, was born on Valentine’s Day of 2004 (according to the information we received). He’s a large brown tabby with white.

These are all nice cats, but right now they’re very shy with us. They’re not aggressive in any way (Onyx will hiss and try to get away if you pet him, but hissing is as far as it goes), though they’re clearly unnerved at their abrupt and great change in circumstances. The only medical issue we have to report on any of them is about Onyx. He has a history of inappropriate defecation, but we have seen none of that, though we are watching him to see if it starts up.

As this trio are all accustomed to one another, it would be nice if they could be adopted together, but it isn’t mandatory. We’ll be working with them to try to better socialize them, and we’re confident that they’ll calm down once they understand they have nothing to fear from us.
