Meet Onyx, an all-black male, not to be confused with our other Onyx, who’s mostly black but has a little white fur, too. This Onyx is exceptionally friendly, outgoing and interactive. Walk into his suite; even if he’s never seen you before, he comes right up and rubs on you, looking for attention. Sit in a chair, and he’ll plunk his front paws onto your knees, just in case you’re not aware of his presence. We’re told he enjoys playing and will even “fetch” his toys. We estimate his age as between ten and twelve.

Onyx has a history of calcium oxylate stones, and he’s on a special diet for that. However, note that this diet is not particularly expensive and is easy to obtain. Onyx likes this food and it’s helping him; his last x-ray for stones was clear, an excellent sign.

We understand that Onyx is not as adoptable as a younger cat, but we think he’s truly a special boy because of his personality. Come in to meet him, and we know you’ll agree.
