Onyx

Onyx

After enjoying his first ten years with an especially loving owner, Onyx came to Tabby’s Place to receive ongoing care and love through our Guardian Angel Program.Onyx’s caretaker loved this cat and was concerned for his long-term well-being, so she arranged for him (along with his buddies Bandit and Sneakers) to become a Tabby’s Place resident.

Onyx has been with us only a short time, but he is already flourishing under our love and first-rate medical care. While he clearly misses his “mom,” Onyx is beginning to come around and trust our staff.Like his good buddy Bandit, Onyx has a condition called Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease, or FLUTD. While this condition can be difficult to control, Onyx is currently well-maintained on a special diet. To learn more about FLUTD, visit this site. Onyx1.jpgOnyx has shown himself a master of making the best of a brand-new situation. In his first hours at Tabby’s Place, he “tucked himself in” under a big blanket with gusto. In addition to being an especially sweet cat, Onyx is, as you can see, extremely beautiful. His sable-hued coat gleams with health, and anyone kind enough to pet him will find that his fur is exceptionally soft. Onyx’s owner has told us that he is content to have his teeth brushed and nails clipped – two routines that severely irk most cats. Onyx2.jpg

Onyx is truly a special boy, worthy of another home filled with love. However, we understand that Onyx’s condition means that it will require a special adopter to take him home. In the meantime, your generous sponsorship will help us continue to provide Onyx with the life of love to which he has become rightly accustomed. Onyx’s caretaker arranged for him to come to Tabby’s Place with the trust that he would find the patient and first-rate care he deserves. Won’t you choose to help us keep that promise?
